HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The Horry County Police Department warns residents of a potential scam in the area.
Police say scammers are impersonating code enforcement staff and knocking on doors requesting to inspect attics.
Officials say the code enforcement department is not doing inspections and to not allow entrance of the individual. Residents are to call the police immediately
